Codenames

[edit]

Do we seriously need to include every single codename for the phones? It looks really cluttered and unnecessary. — Preceding unsigned comment added by LondonBVE2 (talkcontribs) 12:36, 23 January 2013

Done. ViperSnake151  Talk  20:32, 25 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I redid the simplification and removed all numerical/letter codenames that are rarely used in sources. The main reason for including other names is because people who know the phones by those names won't necessarily know the names you left in the list. Also, should the HTC prefix be used in front of the phone names, or should I leave them out? OjdvQ9fNJWl (talk) 00:03, 27 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Actually those were codenames you just restored. The similar template for Samsung only uses the actual names that they were released under. ViperSnake151  Talk  16:50, 27 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I re-added some of the other names that each device was released under (brandnames, etc). OjdvQ9fNJWl (talk) 23:27, 27 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Update

[edit]

HTC has a list of all current smartphones on the official webpage. Should we add them in here? Or first add them on the list of Android phones, and then add them to this template after they have their own articles? OjdvQ9fNJWl (talk) 23:44, 27 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
