Citation need raised

[edit]

I have raised a citation need over the perception that military tribunals were softer on conscientious objectors than on domestic cases. By whom was this view taken, was it reflected in political and news comment? As tribunals were set up by local councils, the likelihood is that the treatment could depend on the local political climate, as local councillors as well as magistrates (some of them retired officers) could sit on them. Some areas were more lenient than others as reflected in the numbers of cases for exemption that were accepted or rejected.Cloptonson (talk) 16:33, 25 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
