Luxair

[edit]

Does anybody know whether Luxair is a fully-integrated partner of M&M?? According to the M&M Website it is not Michael Zimmerman claims that they are, anybody have further info on this?

Well, at least this is what was printed on my last milage account statement :-). MikeZ 21:59, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well I am not saying that you cannot collect miles with them (that is possible) It is just that the Miles & More website does not show Luxair as a fully-integrated partner (fully-integrated meaning that all Luxair FFs are holding a Miles&More card), I think that you are confusing the terms, I do not want to have an edit war over this either though, because the M&M website could be out of date. could you please check this again? Ok since I have not heard anything from Mikez I am going to change the Luxair thing back now. 141.161.35.185 00:53, 16 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I wasn't paying attention to this article for quite a while. Just have a look at http://www.luxair.lu/luxair/jsp/polopoly.jsp?d=543&a=2576&l=en - Cheers, MikeZ 10:52, 11 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Just in case that page will get unavailable in the future: Miles & More - Luxair / Lufthansa "Miles & More" Programme - Since May 2000, LUXAIR participates with its complete network in the LUFTHANSA Miles & More frequent flyer programme. MikeZ 10:54, 11 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
So why does that statement make Luxair a fully integrated airline? Fully integrated means that they are integrated on a IT level, awards and HON circle miles level. 213.225.48.226 21:33, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion proposal by Ridernyc

[edit]

I disagree with the deletion proposal by user Ridernyc, as I can't agree with the given argument of "non-notable corporate promotion".

It's indisputable that all frequent traveler programs are corporate promotions by definition, but "non-notable" is very questionable, to say the least. Miles & More particularly, is one of the largest frequent flyer programs in the world, is used by 12 European airlines, with 13 million members. That's very significant!

I noted that some other articles about frequent flyer programs have been merged into the articles of the particular airlines. If this should be the true motivation of the deletion proposal, then let's discuss a merge instead of a article deletion. But my main concern regarding a potential article merge is that the Miles & More program is used by so many different airlines, that it is undecidable where to merge it to.
