Recommend Naval Construction Battalion Center Port Hueneme and Naval Air Station Point Mugu pages be merged into a single Naval Base Ventura County page. From the NBVC website (https://www.cnic.navy.mil/Ventura/About/NBVCHistory/index.htm): "Oct. 11, 2000 marked the establishment of Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC) during a ceremony held at Point Mugu. The two commands of NAS Point Mugu and CBC Port Hueneme were consolidated into a completely new organization. Naval Base Ventura County provides the Pacific Fleet with a premier mobilization site, complete with a deep water port, rail head, and airfield-all in one package. Two outstanding commands - Construction Battalion Center Port Hueneme and Naval Air Station Point Mugu - have evolved into one full-service organization that is one of the major naval installations on the West Coast. My opinion is that it would be okay to do this if there were automatic redirects. My father's base was Port Hueneme - to us, Point Mugu was a picnic area. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.174.134.236 (talk) 22:22, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Being bold and making this merge. Brycehughes (talk) 02:36, 10 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
