Factual accuracy disputed

[edit]

I've added a {{disputed}} template to this page as I feel that some of the uncited statements in it are somewhat unbelievable. If anyone can verify these statements and provide citations to prove that they are true, then please do so. It particular, I'm referring to this claim in the article:

"His other empirical investigations included providing convincing evidence that lemmings were rodents and not, as some thought, spontaneously generated by the air"

Worm published his research on lemmings, which species he named mus norvagicus in Museum Wormianum (1655): he had a lemming as a pet in his house, which he dissected after its death, and kept the skeleton as a specimen. --Taikad (talk) 17:16, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds good. Do you have a citation on that? 71.135.164.110 (talk) 19:16, 20 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Where is it now?

[edit]

Can Worm's collection of curios be visited at "Nationalmuseet i København"? Or what happened to it? --BjKa (talk) 02:13, 11 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
