Who is the Palest Face of All?

[edit]

So who should get the Paleface page? I'm more familiar with the the Anti-folkie than the rapper, but the first editor started a page for the rapper. In a google of Paleface many of the first hits are for The Paleface (movie), but the anti-folk guy's site comes in second and a video game and a comedian Jamaican Paleface come up far ahead of the Finnish rapper. Attempts at a googlefight yield mixed results: 'Paleface folk' vs 'Paleface rap', rap has a slight edge; 'Paleface "New York City"' vs 'Paleface Finland, NYC is a clear winner. If no one objects I'll probably split the page and keep this namepace for the NYC anti-folk singer. He's the only Paleface on the all music guide. -MrFizyx 15:04, 26 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

So, why not let the main article be "insulting term for white people"? This appears to be the original meaning of the word. It must be possible for someone to make research on the history of this term. --Apus 12:13, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I've rethought this a bit and I agree with you. This page should give a definition and possibly serve as disambiguation for other pages. -MrFizyx 15:13, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I know quite a lot about the rapper-Paleface. But i'm just getting to know this code and all, and i won't have time to write this right now. BobHope88 15:07, 17 September 2006 (U

I am very familiar with Paleface, the American songwriter who has released more than 13 records since 1990 in the US and Germany on major labels (Polydor Records, Sire Records) as well as indie labels since 1990. I looked up the Finnish rapper online and found very little information. I was able to find out that he came a decade later....So he obviously failed to do his research when looking for a "band name" or "artist name". I think this could lead to a legal battle...The Finnish rapper could end up getting sued by American songwriter's management and labels for releasing music and/or performing under that name...

As an editor at Crawdaddy!, and to comply with COI guidelines, I am not posting the link to this review of Paleface's The Show Is on the Road. However, I would like to recommend it on its merits, and hope that an editor will find the time to examine the review and—if he or she sees fit—post it as a press link on this page, or, if a The Show Is on the Road album page is created, to the professional reviews section on that page. I appreciate your time. Crawdaddy! (favorable) [1]
