The second self portrait is the final lead image for perseverance

File:Perseverance-Selfie-at-Rochette-Horizontal-V2.gif is the last change in lead image as this one shows the rover as half dusty veteran and reduces the caption and need of ingenuity in the self portrait. Change only after a year when it's body gets fully dusty like curiosity one at big sky on mount sharp. And please don't go on to disturb the lead image of Mars 2020 as it needs ingenuity in the self portrait and same applies to lead image of ingenuity if any more self portraits are taken by percy containing ingenuity Chinakpradhan (talk) 04:15, 25 September 2021 (UTC)

Is self portrait really the correct terminology here since it would imply the rover itself wanted to be photographed? NASA themselves refer to the photograph as a selfie in their release statement here:

• "We" aren't a dictionary, which is why I pointed out that we have a link to the Wictionary. The topic represented by the basic term could well become a Wikipedia article. • Oppose Changing the name would imply the rover is the primary usage for the word, which is practically and linguistically inaccurate. Is Mars sample recovery helicopters treated as rovers

@DonFB: Since these helicopters will drive themselves from their landing spot to the location of samples or near the SRL lander as per File:Sample Recovery Helicopter Model Gets a Test of its rolling phase.webm, can we call them the next Mars rovers?? It's isn't that wrong than putting ingenuity drone with nova-c im-2 lander's micro Nova payload which is a hopper on moon and the mission team and nasa, term it as a propulsive drone. Santosh Aggarwal (talk) 03:26, 10 January 2023 (UTC)

This source (https://mars.nasa.gov/resources/27176/sample-recovery-helicopter-model-gets-a-test/) describes the craft as a helicopter, not a rover. No source cited in the Perseverance article describes the future helicopters as "rovers". Wikipedia is based only on information published in reliable sources, not the opinions or conclusions of we, the editors. The Moon hopper craft is unrelated to the Mars helicopters. Trying to make a connection between the Moon craft and the Mars craft based on your own reasoning is what Wikipedia calls "Synthesis"--a prohibited practice of making and publishing your own conclusion which is not stated in the actual sources. As you appear to be a new user, I recommend reading No Original Research and Verifiability, which explain two fundamental policies of Wikipedia that are relevant to your comments (NPOV is a third basic policy).
