Redirect

[edit]

Why has this page been re-created as an article? It was ruled to be a redirect in 2017 following Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Robert Trump. Nothing has changed since, apart from his death. WWGB (talk) 10:45, 16 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Well, there has certainly been a lot of additional coverage of Robert Trump since then, in particular related to Mary Trump's book and the lawsuit around that. Plus now there is quite a bit of coverage of his illness and death including various obituaries. I think that a new AfD would be needed to keep the page deleted. To add to article

[edit]

To add to this article: cause of death. 173.88.246.138 (talk) 12:29, 16 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Is it normal for the cause of death to be withheld for a presidential relative (or any notable person)? 173.88.246.138 (talk) 06:41, 17 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Conflicting reports

[edit]

These two articles say that there are conflicting reports about his age.

2nd wife isn't dead

[edit]

Ann Marie Pallan isn't dead https://www.nytimes.com/2020/08/15/us/politics/robert-s-trump-dead.html "Besides the president, he is survived by his second wife, Ann Marie Pallan, and his sisters, Maryanne Trump Barry and Elizabeth Trump Grau. His brother Fred Jr. died in 1981." 108.46.49.86 (talk) 15:34, 16 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Real estate developer

[edit]

Nah, he wasn't, never mind what the Independent says. When he went to work for his father Fred Trump at Trump Management, they had stopped building years before and were managing (as in landlord) Fred Trump's apartment buildings. Space4Time3Continuum2x (talk) 15:34, 16 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The Independent has a "mixed" rating for factual reporting, due to failed fact checks. And in this case, the fact don't check out, either. There are better and very available sources but have it your way. Space4Time3Continuum2x (talk) 04:22, 17 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Space4Time3Continuum2x: The New York Times mentioned that he worked with real estate, but not necessarily that he was a developer. If you want to change the lead sentence to just be "business executive", I don't see a problem with that, since the sources seem to mention that much more (specifically that he was a senior executive or executive vice president at the Trump Organization).[1][2] - Whisperjanes (talk) 13:47, 18 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City?

[edit]

I've seen a couple of references to him working on what I think is the Taj Mahal casino - However, I'm not sure which sources are reliable enough or if the info should be incorporated, so I thought I'd share them here:

Which Trump?

[edit]

The article states, "The New York Times quoted a family friend as saying that Trump had recently started experiencing intracerebral hemorrhaging after a fall". WHICH Trump? Robert or Donald? Make it clear. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.13.149.196 (talk) 23:32, 23 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
