So he didn't have any? He just wrote and drank. That explains it. Plus he organized a gentleman's farm.

How many millions did he make?

According to biographer Richard Lingeman, "Main Street made [Lewis] rich—earning him about 4 million current [2018] dollars". But the book is from 2002. If someone has manually updated the value, they should label it as such. I suspect changing this to "[2002] dollars" is the fix. Dhalamh (talk) 16:45, 26 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Answered my own question, if you go back in history, you see "about three million current [2002] dollars", the year of publication of the biography. Mystery solved and article updated. Dhalamh (talk) 17:03, 26 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
