Public holiday

[edit]

"大理白族自治州人民代表大会常务委员会关于大理白族自治州三月街民族节的决议" (1991) stipulates 2 days off on March 15 and 16 of the Chinese calendar; "云南省大理白族自治州自治条例" (2005) stipulates 3 days off; "云南省大理白族自治州自治条例" (2020) states that Third Month Fair holiday is specified by the Dali Autonomous Prefecture People's Government, and according to [1], the government stipulates a three-day holiday for Third Month Fair starting from 2021. @Kcx36: Thanks for pointing that out. I've adjusted the article accordingly. Please let me know if you think more changes are needed (or make changes yourself, of course). —Mx. Granger (talk · contribs) 15:07, 20 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • ... that according to legend, the Third Month Fair was originally held on the moon? Source: 'Another legend is about the existence of a "trade fair on the moon." It is said that the third princess of Dali fell in love with a young fisherman. On the 15th of the third lunar month, the two went to the moon to buy fishing net and other working instruments but returned home empty-handed. The local people somehow managed to relocate the trade fair to the earth and then the trade fair began in Dali.' Wei, Liming (2010). Chinese Festivals: Traditions, Customs and Rituals (Second ed.). @Mx. Granger: May 4 is just outside six weeks after March 19. We usually require that a special occasion date be within six weeks of the nomination date. If you want the article to run on that date, you will need to make a request at WT:DYK. Would you want to do that, or would you be fine with the hook running as a regular hook? @Narutolovehinata5: I created the article on March 19, but I made the nomination on March 25, which is less than six weeks before May 4. So I think this requirement is met, but please let me know if I'm missing something. —Mx. Granger (talk · contribs) 14:12, 26 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oh I see, I apologize for missing that. Should be just fine then. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 14:13, 26 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
