Using default font entity code considered potentially ugly

[edit]

Isn't there an entity code other than b which would be appropriate, for example, when the default font is serifed? --James S. 18:32, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Not really, unless you'd like a full-width B intended for use in vertical Chinese or Japanese texts. – Minh Nguyễn (talk, contribs) 09:34, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Aspirated

[edit]

Is there an article on the aspirated one? The grid doesn't give any examples, as are prevalent in Indic languages. Badagnani (talk) 03:27, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Should it be written that /b/ occurs in English?

[edit]

The symbol is even the letter "b" itself. One would need to have practically no knowledge about phonology to think that the sound does not occur in English. And if one doesn't know anything about phonology, why would they even look up this page? I would also extend this to the voiced bilabial nasal's page, since it says basically the same thing, and like this sound, the symbol is the letter "m". 93.173.98.128 (talk) 09:22, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Both pages list English in both the lede paragraph and in the table of occurrences. AquitaneHungerForce (talk) 12:16, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
