How do the pictures look like?

[edit]

I found a page which tries to list all Windows Spotlight wallpapers.

In this article the wallpapers are listed by categories / countries, but there is no preview to the pictures itself. Is this a licensing issue or is it ok to add external links to the pictures?

There is another internet site with 460 sub pages (so far), 5 images per page. Clicking on the "Read more" button brings up the image with a caption explaining it.

Another site with 844 images. The main page has 94 rows of thumbnails, each about 2" * 1". Clicking on one brings up the full size picture, which can then be saved. Putting that in a reverse image search such as google or tineye will find what the picture is.

Another site only has about 200 of them.

Another site has no thumbnails, only by name. It can choose by category. It was 2 months behind. Since it is at Microsoft, it presumably has all of them.

What is the purpose of these pictures?

[edit]

Shouldn't this page include some information about why microsoft provides these pages? What are the finantial insentives? Are the responses being used for research? 77.137.70.104 (talk) 17:48, 1 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
