acidic

[edit]

Acides have H init without they are not acidic!--Stone 10:54, 13 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Structure

[edit]

Erm, I think we can ignore that erroneous, wonderfully spelt 'acidic' comment above! I think the 'trigonal prismatic' comment should be clarified - I don't have my copy of Greenwood & Earnshaw with me, so I can't see how on earth the gaseous compound attains a trigonal prismatic structure. Perhaps a dimer with two bridging Cl? Whatever it is, it'd be nice if it were clarified! Nessa Carson (talk) 18:39, 2 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Issue with the references

[edit]

I hate to do this, but I have to question the credibility of some of the references in this article. references from 6 to 16 are from biochemistry/ pharmacology journals from the year 1975. I unfortunately can not access the full text to be sure but judging from the titles the articles have little to nothing to do with antimony pentachloride. --MiPe (talk) 10:33, 25 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Also the text seems to refer to something I don't find in this article "Novel technology for preparation of SbCl5 from lead anode slime with high antimony and low silver content is shown in the flowchart of figure 3" --MiPe (talk) 10:35, 25 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
To further clarify, I doubt that an article titled "Comparison between procaine and isocarboxazid metabolism in vitro by a liver microsomal amidase-esterase" contains information about the bond lenghts of antimony pentachloride. It is still claimed to be used as a reference. I will make a bold edit and revert the article to the version before these edits. --MiPe (talk) 08:56, 27 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
