Issues

[edit]

1. diagram of intramolecular BH reaction is wrong, needs to be Bu3P not Bu4P.

2. should the BH amine addition intermediate be shown in its charged form? it would be far clearer imo being shown as its (dominant) enol tautomer, since this highlights the electron movement.

3. Shouldn't structure 7 in the alternative mechanism be an allylic alcohol at the benzylic position, and not a ketone as it is indicated?

4. This mechanism is pretty messed up... nitrogen needs a charge in the 2nd part of the picture and is it standard practice not to include the 2nd arrow on the 1st picture? I've never seen that before...

Ethnicity

[edit]

Was Hillman really a German? Melville does not sound like a German 1st name. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:184:4A7F:CF50:98B3:B82B:CBEA:AA48 (talk) 05:42, 23 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I don't have an answer, but I also think it doesn't seem relevant. This is a chemistry article, not a suitable place to make nationalistic claims. DMacks (talk) 14:46, 17 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
