Notice about the new C-Class quality classification

[edit]
Copied to Big Brother Australia 2008, Big Brother 10 (U.S.), Big Brother 2008 (UK), and Secret Story 2008 (France).

I was unaware that we needed to have a discussion about the new C-Class classification on the quality scale. ((Other WikiProject responses) So my question is should we (WP:Big Brother) adopt this new classification? I think so since now B-Class has had its requirements tightened and I had demote 11 former B-Class articles to C-Class due to the new change. Also this means that some of the Start/Stub articles could move up to C-Class classification as well. Since I kinda implimented this without a proper discussion you can see which articles I had to demote from B-Class and why and from my understanding articles that moved up to C-Class. So after explaining my mistake, my question is should we continue with C-Class or just keep A-Class, FA-Class, B-Class, Start-Class, and Stub-Class? A consensus this subject was reached during a past season of Big Brother, the feeds are acceptable as long as they are backed by a proper source. Fansites such as Joker's Update, Reality BBQ, etc are not acceptable sources but the spin-off show Big Brother: After Dark and House Calls: The Big Brother Talk Show are acceptable sources. Just because Big Brother airs on CBS three times a week it airs live nightly on Showtime 2 and it was decided that the portion of the feeds used during Big Brother: After Dark are acceptable references. Voting History Proposal

Recently, I had noticed that on other Big Brother "Nominations Tables" or "Voting History Tables" that any time one Housemate (or in BB9 USA's case a pair of HouseGuests) controls the sole power to evict any other person (or pair) they are currently sharing the house with (or part of House in some of the British ones) the evicted box for the Housemate they evict is marked with "So and so's choice to evict". I think that this should be included for all of the BB2-BB10 Voting History Tables for the Final 3 since the last HoH held the sole power to evict any other HouseGuest. Thoughts on the idea? This article is about the show, not about the individual participants -- a minor hair-spliting some might say, but it is why we have a "list of particpants" article and a winner article. This link, regardless of who owns it, is a selling link and at a minimum does not belong here at the BB10 article. Perhaps it would be fine on Dan's page (I am not a fan of it, but I can see the argument for it there) -- it is something he is doing, but it should be discussed in the article, not just added as a link in the bottom section. This discussion in the article is what would move the link from spam into encyclopedic content.--Jordan 1972 (talk) 21:06, 11 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
This link, on closer examination, is not soley a "selling link" as you have stated. It does include an artist contest which Dan and Memphis are holding with their fans, in addition to a link to their store - a separate site. While we can all agree the site is very badly created, it is still content which is designed for fans of Big Brother 10, created and owned by the winners of Big Brother 10, which was actually mentioned on Showtime and HouseCalls. Their team "Renegades" was a part of the major content of the show's plot, and integral in their victory and thus is a relevant link - and I would argue is MORE relevant than the link to the Livejournal Update link, or the Global Shows link.
