History

[edit]

Steve, according to this page, I would say there is only 1 journal with 2 former names (this being one of them). I propose to move this article to Bioscience, Biotechnology, and Biochemistry and to add the previous names, putting "1924-present" in the "history" field of the infobox. --Crusio (talk) 08:36, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, I am moving the page now. I am going to try to set it up so both of these journal's information is available. So, give me some time to get it set up, and then you can edit as you see fit. ---- Steve Quinn (talk) 18:24, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Well the article as it stands is probably like a very rough draft. However, you can see that I am trying to utilize the infobox of the other journal article, as well as its description. Also, I am unable to find any information about the journal from the Society site nor the home page of this journal. If you uncover a source, let me know. ---- Steve Quinn (talk) 18:57, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • OK I think I have this figured out. First accessing the "official" journal page ([1]) it says "Bioscience, Biotechnology, and Biochemistry (Biosci. Biotechnol. Biochem.) publishes previously unpublished original papers in the various fields mentioned in its name. Papers must describe valuable new information accompanied by conclusions, and must be complete in themselves." Then accessing the introduction to the society page( [2] ) it appears material related to the journal can be found in the section entitled "Fields of Research". Also it is possible that other useful information can be gleaned from other areas of this page. I think this is "mission accomplished" and "mystery solved". I guess I shall begin writing soon. ---- Steve Quinn (talk) 00:19, 20 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
