The panther in the picture is obviously black, but "black panther" is just a popular term for any large, black cat. The meaning of panther typically differs by geography - which cat is native to the area (puma, leopard, or jaguar). The cat in the picture is much too built to be a puma, so I'm presuming it's fashioned after a jaguar or a leopard. It's a long shot, but has the cat ever been depicted differently? An animated logo or anything? Is it always black? - Slow Graffiti 17:10, 16 June 2006 (UTC) Os pretos e brancos (The black and whites)[reply]

I don't believe there was ever this version of a panther in any other material promoted by Boavista FC. But the term "Black Panther" is the one used although it seems odd.Ryszard Grodzisko (talk) 20:37, 9 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I reverted the last edit. The core of the added informations are not yet confirmed, at least until the final decision on the appeal to the Justice Court, which Boavista FC's direction has already informed will apply to, comes out.(Ryszard Grodzisko (talk) 20:32, 9 May 2008 (UTC))

Correction of the club he owns

[edit]

It states that he owns French club Lille OSC. He does not as the deal never went through. He does however own FC Girondins de Bordeaux in France. 5.132.117.247 (talk) 21:13, 6 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
