Discussion

[edit]

It would be nice to see a list of the albums he produced rather than just bands. (unsigned comment)

According to Shirley Manson's Facebook page, Vig won a Grammy recently (i.e., last night.) Just thought I would mention this. (Also, he is not, in fact, dead.) -Phil —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.28.35.109 (talk) 19:42, 1 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Date of Birth

[edit]

There are plenty of websites quoting 2 August 1957 (not 1955) as Vig's birthdate. IMDb - here - [1] being one such case. However, some list 8 December 1957. Is there some creditable method of discovering the truth ?

I believe your year of birth is incorrect as Butch graduated Viroqua High School in 1973-probably born in 1955.

Not a sound engineer?

[edit]

I'm a little confused. This article omits the fact that he's a sound engineer. And no, not all record producers are engineers and, vice-versa. But is his status as an engineer not notable enough because most of his credits most of his work is as a producer only? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.41.88.42 (talk) 17:32, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
