I added this to expand and improve this stub with links. This is a major point in his career. Noted as the Philippines "Komiks King" and "Massacre Director" (to enemies), Carlo was awarded on May 11, 2008, the Sagisag Balagtas Award by the Pambansang Samahan ng Mga Tagamasid at Tagataguyod ng Filipino (Pasataf) during its 52nd anniversary celebration at Benitez Hall, Teacher's Camp, Baguio City. Caparas launched the Gantimpalang Carlo J. Caparas sa Sining ng Pagkukuwento, coordinated by the Komisyon ng Wikang Filipino.GMA NEWS.TV, Carlo J.
