ADA compliance / Accessibility

[edit]

The website for the MTA does not list this station as ADA compliant, however WMATA's website states that all Metro stations are ADA compliant. I assume that this means that disabled people are able to access the DC metro from the College Park station, but not the MARC train? EDIT - from looking at photos, it appears there is elevator access to the College Park station for the DC metro. The MARC train stop is at ground level, but you have to cross the train tracks to get to one of the sides. Is this why the station isn't listed as ADA compliant by the MTA's website, because a wheelchair user could get their wheels stuck on the tracks? Correct, the Metro station is accessible, but the MARC station is not. At a glace the MARC station lacks several key accessible elements, including raised platforms for level boarding and tactile paving along the platform edges. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 07:46, 30 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
