Edit war

[edit]

The Banner, what was wrong with the IP's edits? Are they a sockpuppet or LTA? Is it subtle vandalism? Firefangledfeathers (talk / contribs) 19:21, 1 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

In essence: cutting out history, cutting out the gallery and other non-neutral edits. IP thinks that galleries are superfluous and (s)he removed them multiple times on multiple articles. And I skip the personal attacks used as explanation for his unsourced and unexplained edits. The Banner talk 23:44, 1 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Since the initial edit did not appear vandalistic, it would have helped to leave an explanatory edit summary while reverting. Many of the copyedits seem helpful. Do you object to all of them? Firefangledfeathers (talk / contribs) 15:11, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Look for the context of his actions here and review the edits from August 2023. The Banner talk 17:23, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
None of that looks like vandalism, and you inaccurately labeled one edit vandalism when reverting. Please follow-up on incivility through conduct dispute venues, not by reverting without explanation. Edit warring with good-faith contributors, even ones who are being uncivil, is not helpful. As you say, now the IP is socking, so revert away. Good luck with enabling this person in his behaviour. The Banner talk 23:26, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
And by now, the editor behind the IP has used a second IP, so is now an sockpuppeteer. The Banner talk 17:39, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
