When will this be moved to the mainspace? It seems ready to be moved. Care to differ or discuss with me? The Nth User 05:03, 30 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Most of this is just basically a copy paste from the main page, so both would need rewriting. Plus, the Preperations section is severely lacking in information. Would wait until we get more info done, and I would suggest @12george1: possibly help as well since he made the entire article for Irma impacts in Florida. --MarioProtIV (talk/contribs) 15:28, 30 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@MarioProtIV: To be fair, once this is published to the mainspace, we can shorten the sections that this has been copy-pasted from and add a few {{main article|Effects of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico}} templates. That's why, or at least the main reason why, we're creating this article. Care to differ or discuss with me? The Nth User 02:06, 31 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Is it okay to include the warehouse scandal in the "Criticism of U.S. Government Response Section"? They found a lot of federal supplies delivered in 2017, in response to Hurricane Maria, were forgotten in a warehouse. This information is included in the article 2019–20 Puerto Rico earthquakes under the section "Aftermath". 2600:1012:B120:E82:E700:6C9B:2A08:BA93 (talk) 00:51, 6 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

B class review from Hurricane Noah (on behalf of WPTC)

[edit]

In my opinion, this article is not B-class or even close to it. Please see my explanation below. NoahTalk 03:55, 28 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Hurricanehink: What do you think on this? I saw you rated the article earlier. NoahTalk 04:13, 28 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
That's fair, although given that several sections are lacking, this is borderline start/C class. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 13:40, 29 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • B1: References & Citation  Not done
  • The end of 1 paragraph lacks a citation to support the comparison is not significant. Additionally, reference formatting needs to be more similar. Either use MLA style or standard US date style. I haven't looked at the other aspects of the formatting, but you should check that out too.
  • B2: Coverage & Accuracy  Not done
  • Several sections are lacking... Surely Hurricane Irma did more than just knock out power. Preps need more detail as more did occur than what is mentioned. Damage estimates and economic impact is extremely small. Such a deadly and destructive storm would have had a massive effect on the economy.
  • B3: Structure  Not done
  • The lead is far too small for an article of this size.
  • B4: Grammar & Style  Not done
  • I did notice some quantity disagreements amongst some other grammatical issues. Please just proofread the article. The article is a bit choppy in places as well due to sentences starting "On X date".
  • B5: Supporting Materials  Not done
  • Has enough images and tables for the amount of material. Although there are too many in places. Try to avoid bloating sections by placing tables and images right next to each other. Images should never sit right on top of one another.
  • B6: Accessibility  Done
  • I don't see any issues with the understanding of the article.
