I was thinking that it would be great to have an article for each of the separate games, covering the plot and new features, and a main article for the entire series, mainly about the gameplay and technical stuff (because those don't change much between each game).
If you think this is a good idea, please help me improve and add to this article and the ones that will come after. If you don't like it, tell me why, and we can try to work something out that pleases everyone. Thanks, Alex 22:11, July 15, 2005 (UTC)

Well, I went ahead and did it; please help me evolve these articles into some very good entries. Alex 03:25, August 5, 2005 (UTC)
It took awhile, but it's started on Geneforge at least, I'll have a go at Geneforge 2 soon. Someoneanother 23:02, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Geneforge2map.jpg

[edit]

Image:Geneforge2map.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

The image Image:Geneforge2.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

Editing

[edit]

I was just looking over this article and there seems to be a lot of information that could probably be cut. If each game now has its own article then the game play and games sections could probably be made a lot more concise with people being able to view the actual games wiki pages to view the game play and plots of the games. I was thinking that this article should probably focus more on the entire gameforge world and talk about the timeline of events more. And the development of the series why they changed certain things between games and the differences between each games. I literally just bought the gameforge saga and started playing number 1 (which is what led me here haha) and so i would be willing to kinda do an overhaul of this page focusing more on the development changes in the world differences between games ect (after i have finished playing them of course don't want to give myself spoilers). I just wanted to know what other people thought of this? i mean if everyone else thinks the article if fine and should not be re-hauled then I won't bother.
