Legend

[edit]

Could someone provide some sources for the local legend? The article claims the legend is "actually historically accurate", but several other articles about other strange lights have a similar legend attached. --NighTrekr 19:11, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just did, go to the External links. Martial Law 23:32, 12 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Regarding these images: a blob of light on a dark background with what appear to be trees. There is no way to WP:V verify that this is the Gurdon light. Most user-submitted images to Wikipedia are fairly conventional and it is reasonable to assume good faith and trust the uploader. However some images, like this one, are connected to topics that are sufficiently unusual that they cannot be taken at face value. Even modifying the image caption with a caveat ("Photo claimed to be of the Gurdon light in 1994") isn't sufficient. Platforming images that make unverifiable claims doesn't improve the article and isn't in the best interests of Wikipedia. - LuckyLouie (talk) 15:01, 2 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The recently added File:Gurdon_Light.png is worse. An image of a blob of light is WP:V unverifiable. - LuckyLouie (talk) 14:35, 3 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

the image File:Gurdon_Light.png is a fake photo. if this user Americafyeah2013 add it back, remove it. Mister49 (talk) 16:17, 4 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
