Moved/Rename

[edit]

I moved this article to its current name which changed in 2007 [1] The article Hindu University of America now redirects to this article (International Vedic Hindu University)--KeithbobTalk 18:08, 22 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

International Vedic Hindu University is a registered Fictitious Business Name.[2] The actual corporate name remains unchanged.[3] AndroidCat (talk) 22:39, 28 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

User:Keithbob: The name is Hindu University of America. The name change must have been temporary. The website calls it Hindu University of America. I suggest the article title be reverted back.Malaiya (talk) 00:47, 19 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Its name is Hindu University of America. That is the name it officially uses. I will change the article title soon. The article also needs some details about its history.Malaiya (talk) 16:28, 10 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

There is no justification for referring to the institution as "International Vedic Hindu University". You can do a Google search, pages using this seem be based on this Wikipedia article. "Hindu University of America" is the official name and is widely used. It seems that 2007, the then president Kuldip C Gupta unexpectedly died (https://www.hua.edu/about/heritage/), and somehow the administration was briefly handed to Paramahamsa Nithyananda, when the temporary name change occurred. The name Hindu University of America was restored in 2009 (http://web.archive.org/web/20091214050457/http://hua.edu/index.php). It has been called simply Hindu University of America since then.
