KFJM history confused

[edit]

KFJM-FM 89.3 Was already student-operated in the 1970s. David Beach was the station manager in the late 1970s; Richard Towne was the PD.

Useful historical details seem scarce (found nothing at UND's site) but the information on this 2004 Glenn Hauser page (credited to source '(CRU)' Jul 23, 2004) seems to be accurate. Note it reads in part:

The University did not build KFJM-FM 89.3 FM until about 1970; in 1995 it received a license for KFJY 90.7 FM, later changing the call letters of 89.3 FM to KUND and moving the KFJM-FM call letters to 90.7 FM.
