Minor changes

[edit]

I fixed a spelling error in "emperor" and added a little text to the intro section on the minor league record to enhance clarity. (17 December 2013) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.80.84.247 (talk) 15:46, 17 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Not sure how I missed the spelling issue. EricEnfermero HOWDY! 17:50, 17 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Biography?

[edit]

Leaving aside the sense of having a "Biography" section in a biographical article, I have to take issue with that section's very first fact pertaining to something the subject of the article did when he was 28 years old. What about his parents, upbringing, and early interest in baseball? The article also mentions he had a widow, but does not say what her name was, when they married, or if they had children. The bio section might better be called "Career". --Piledhigheranddeeper (talk) 18:17, 17 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I changed it to Career. I'm having an unusually hard time finding anything about his early life. That may be because his common name is the same as someone with much more coverage. I've tried different combinations of keywords in Google Books, Google News, HighBeam and Questia. Just not coming up with a lot. EricEnfermero HOWDY! 04:10, 18 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
