Manufactory or Manufactury?

[edit]

I have kept this archaic word for a factory as it is appropriate for the period. However, the word was used with two spellings manufactory and manufactury. Manufactory, even though rarely used nowadays, appears to be more recognised. https://www.google.com/search?q=manufactory&oq=manufactory and was used for consistency. Dickinson family

[edit]

Lobsterthermidor - Hi Lobster, good to see you again. I think the early history of the Dickinson family will need trimming. It’s just not that relevant to the Burges house which is the subject of the article, it doesn’t really follow a summary style, the bullet points would be better as prose, and the citation style should follow that already existing. You could, of course, start another article, “History of the Manor of Knightshayes”, or whatever it was called then. All the best. KJP1 (talk) 13:42, 9 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thank you, OK, I will move it to Manor of Knightshayes Lobsterthermidor (talk) 13:14, 17 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

National Trust pilot

[edit]

Hello! During late June, July and some of August, I'm working on a paid project sponsored by the National Trust to review and enhance coverage of NT sites. You can find the pilot edits here, as well as a statement and contact details for the National Trust. I am leaving this message when I make a first edit to a page; please do get in touch if you have any concerns. Lajmmoore (talk) 16:12, 1 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Lajmmoore. What's the NT's policy on interior photographs? Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 16:16, 1 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Bring them on! Particularly the Burges bits. KJP1 (talk) 16:34, 1 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
