Problems with the reading cactus est for factus est, whether a typo or actually incised on the slab, are treated (caution: with some doubtless inappropriate levity) at User talk:Wetman --Wetman (talk) 14:24, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Change name of the entry

[edit]

Hello. The entry in Italian wikipedia "Torre della Lanterna di Genova" has changed name to the more appropriate "Lanterna di Genova" (see the discussion of that entry - in italian). I think also this entry should be changed accordingly, and keep the current "Torre della Lanterna" only as redirect. 151.21.197.154 (talk) 07:33, 21 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I am the same anonymous that wrote before. Now I have an account. I'm going to rename this page if there isn't any objection. I just have to wait to become a autoconfirmed user. Since this is English wikipedia I think the right name is "Lighthouse of Genoa" Mad Toad (talk) 23:30, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Lighthouse of GenoaLantern of Genoa – The original Italian name for this lighthouse is "Lanterna", which means exactly a lantern. This building (a symbol of Genoa) is traditionally known with this name and there is no reason to translate it in a different manner. There are several lighthouses in Genoa, but only one Lantern. --Relisted. George Ho (talk) 04:16, 6 October 2014 (UTC) Enok (talk) 12:14, 28 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
