A few suggestions for the page: Types of bands or notable bands that have played there since opening. Information about the sound system they have in place, which is supposedly top-notch. Some mention of the restaurant and type of food in the front room of the club. We can get really snazzy and put in a link on the Lincoln Hall disambiguation page to distinguish it from the other Lincoln Halls out there. A picture of the venue. Something about hosting the Tomorrow Never Knows Festival. DanChristian1 (talk) 04:55, 14 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I added some restaurant information but I'm not sure if I set up the links correctly. Still trying to figure out how to add a picture and use the correct citations... Caity57 (talk) 21:46, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I put in a link to our page on the Lincoln Hall disambiguation page. DanChristian1 (talk) 22:50, 18 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I added a venue design and layout section, but I can't find anything specific about the sound system, other than review saying that it's great. Nothing that mentions what type of system it is. Also still trying to figure out the picture. Caity57 (talk) 04:10, 19 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Also, does anyone know how to fix the "garage" link, which the note at the top says needs disambiguation? Caity57 (talk) 04:14, 19 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind. I think I fixed it. Caity57 (talk) 04:17, 19 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The specs on the sound system can be found at http://www.lincolnhallchicago.com/Music/Tech but I can't really say I know what that means or how I would go about summarizing it concisely. Also, I think the garage in question is more of a mechanic's auto garage than a parking garage, so I think I will edit that link. DanChristian1 (talk) 16:45, 19 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Reads like a press release

[edit]

By the time I got to the unsourced "The bi-level design of Lincoln Hall works well..." I decided to pop in here and ask an editor to look at this entry. "Artists that will play at Lincoln Hall in the month of April (2010) will include Fish Out Of Water..." Really? (I'm reading this in 2013. If the author[s] want to use this page as advertising, they could at least keep it current.) (Please don't use this page as advertising.) "Schubas' famous Mac ‘n’ Cheese" gets an external link, absurd enough, but it doesn't even take you directly to a menu page. Relgif (talk) 15:50, 9 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I just wrote The_3-Penny_Cinema without realizing that this was a (very badly advertly written) article. I propose merging The_3-Penny_Cinema with Lincoln Hall. Also shouldn't there be a comma in the title?Victor Grigas (talk) 04:45, 6 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Support merging The 3-Penny Cinema and Lincoln Hall (Chicago) into a single article as User:Victorgrigas mentioned: I propose 2424 North Lincoln Avenue, because the building has had numerous names (Fullerton Theatre, Crest Cinema) and there are also at least two other Lincoln Halls in Chicago (NWU Law School and UIC). I've already made Commons:Category:2424 North Lincoln Avenue (Chicago) because of it. Any objections? --Closeapple (talk) 01:18, 25 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Support I agree, no objection Closeapple Victor Grigas (talk) 13:40, 25 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
