Out-of-date entries

[edit]

I just removed the Florida Citrus Festival (after another editor noted its demise), as it folded in 2008 and the web site cited in the list had become a commercial directory. It looks like there are other entries citing out-of-date web sites. Looking at the first ten entries, four cite web sites with up-to-date info, two cite web sites with out-of-date info, one has a dead link, and two cite web sites that are now advertising pages that don't mention the festival. There are also festivals on the list with no citation. As I find time, I intend to clean this list up, either finding up-to-date info, or deleting festivals that I cannot verify.

I am also concerned about the festivals on this list that are commercial promotions. I don't mean festivals with sponsors, I mean "festivals" that appear to purely promotions for a specific business, such as a radio station or a restaurant. -- Donald Albury 22:03, 1 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
