List in table form

[edit]

It would be nice to put this list in talbe form like List of Google acquisitions. --80.238.206.153 22:12, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Supper Hyper Global Meganet?

[edit]

Just for an LOL, i thought about the Simpson's episode where Microsoft's goons 'byout' Homers home business.

I know it wont be listed, but at least its now talked about :). —Preceding unsigned comment added by Amckern (talkcontribs) 14:17, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Discrepancies

[edit]

The article states that Microsoft acquired Great Plains Software on April, 2001, but according to Microsoft's own investor relations web site (http://www.microsoft.com/msft/acquisitions/history.mspx) it was on December 21, 2000. Who is right? I would change the article, but even Microsoft is wrong sometimes(though they will never admit it).

Yahoo is also listed however, this is an announced take-over it has not been approved or officiated so why is it listed? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.4.192.183 (talk) 01:11, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Derived product/technology missing

[edit]

Just a month back when I checked, this article contained a "derived products" column. It probably was removed because it was incomplete. But it was good to have that info anyway. I feel it should be put back rather than eliminating it merely to "increase the article quality". Meanwhile, I'm trying to complete it and provide references. Any opinions? - xpclient Talk 13:27, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AdECN is an Ad Exchange not a Security firm

[edit]

It's wrong in the listing. How does one edit the list? I was afraid that I'd mess up a data pull from Thompson? Ipsofacto123 (talk) 14:26, 6 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dead links in article

[edit]

The majority of deadlinks tagged recently are from Thompson Financial via the Alacra Store website. As these articles are no longer available, it might be a good idea to start looking for alternate articles for WP:V --Breno talk 12:02, 22 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Microsoft's Acquisition of Github

[edit]

GitHub is going to be acquired by Microsoft, as confirmed by both parties[1][2].

Considering that it hasn't been finalized yet, should we add it yet? Keep in mind that it will take a few months to finalize it, so we could at least add it with a message such as "Not finalized"

Smash.gg acquisition

[edit]

On December 2nd, 2020, it was reported that Microsoft had acquired smash.gg, an esports tournament organizing website. This news came from smash.gg themselves and MSN Esports. Curiously, this acquisition is missing from Microsoft's list of acquisitions so I'm not sure if that's an oversight or perhaps an acquisition deemed insignificant. Regardless, this acquisition should be listed on the page. Pokebub22 (talk) 15:31, 23 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
