Is Kim Basinger a UGA alumna?

[edit]

Although Kim Basinger grew up in Athens, none of her biographies mention that she ever attended UGA, even for a short time. Yet she's listed in this List of UGA people. Someone should confirm and, if necessary, delete her name.

Categories

[edit]

I added the categories of Military and Politics. There must be many Georgia governers, senators, and congressmen who went to UGA, but I don't have a list. Bubba73 [[User_talk:Bubba73|(talk)]] 18:21, 16 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Under Politics, I added all of the governors of GA that have WP articles which list UGA. Today I noticed the category "government and law". These need to be merged. I will do it when I get time, unless someone else wants to do it. Bubba73 (talk), 05:12, 18 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I went through the athletics category and alphabetized entries. If you add items, please insert them in alphabetical order instead of at the bottom of a category. ALSO: To the contributor who added Betty Titus to the list, I removed reference to team, because if Betty Titus was indeed an NFL kicker, it certainly was not for the Denver Nuggets. (Could you have meant the Broncos?) 216.165.144.62 19:20, 4 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Also alphabetized Government and Law category. 216.165.144.62 19:32, 4 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Is it just me or does People sound....

[edit]

Funny or Lame.

It would sound better if it was like notable Alumni, University of Georgia people sounds Lame-O or childish

More than alumni

[edit]

The list includes notable faculty and staff, so Notable Alumni would not serve as an overall label for the page. Please suggest a better title. 69.129.36.29 15:04, 5 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps "alumni, faculty, and staff". Bubba73 (talk), 05:13, 6 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Split it, à la List of Georgia Institute of Technology alumni and List of Georgia Institute of Technology faculty. —Disavian (talk/contribs) 17:50, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Don Leeburn

[edit]

I'm pretty sure Leeburn never graduated from UGA, although I can't find anything to verify this. Rikee777 16:12, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Who is Richard Boorman?
