Transfers

[edit]

I don't really get this, why is it that you can't make any loan deals during the weekends? Michael (talk), 14:47, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Who says you can't? I've seen loans and even full transfers take place on a weekend. The fact of the matter is that, on weekends, the people who organise the transfers are usually taking a break from work, just like Average Joe Public does. – PeeJay 15:12, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I know that, but I meant way before the transfer period. Michael (talk), 16:13, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
So did I. – PeeJay 09:28, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Jason Banton

[edit]

Banton was recruted by Blackburn Rovers after leaving my team, Arsenal FC. Should we report that? Michael (talk), 01:20, 17 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If he had been released by Arsenal before joining Blackburn, then he should be listed as joining Blackburn from "Unattached". – PeeJay 07:50, 17 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well, the ref. on SKY SPORTS, which I don't get, says he is joining the Blackburn Academy after leaving the Gunners. Michael (talk), 13:30, 17 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
To be fair, the Sky Sports article does say he's only 15 years old. Is he really worth listing here? – PeeJay 15:20, 17 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Transfer Deadline

[edit]

Can transfer deadlines end on Saturdays because that's when the deadline is for the winter? Michael (talk), 22:32, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see why not. – PeeJay 22:55, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I can't do all the work

[edit]

Why am I not getting any help? – Michael (talk) 01:10, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Because you don't seem to need it. You're doing a fine job as it is. – PeeJay 01:43, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah thanks, but I might need a little help in case I have alot of homework to do. – Michael (talk) 02:28, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Transfer list looks messed up

[edit]

To avoid a few possible line breaks, can we fix the date situation because what we have right now is not necessary? – Michael (talk) 01:11, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have to agree. The summer transfers look a lot neater than the disappearing dates. Is there a way of changing this before more deals come through? Adam (talk) 12:16, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'm confused. What seems to be the problem? – PeeJay 12:34, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well when you open up the page, it all seems fine, but after about 30 seconds, all the numbers disappear from the dates - leaving just 'January 2009'. Maybe we need to change the date formula back to what we used in the summer. Adam (talk) 12:56, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Seems fine to me. I've had the page open for a couple of minutes now and the dates haven't changed at all. What browser are you using? – PeeJay 13:32, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
IE 7. And it does the same every time I log into the page. Its not even giving me any links to dates like the old page does. Adam (talk) 19:12, 11 January 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.14.222.38 (talk) [reply]
Yeah, dates aren't supposed to be linked any more, per WP:MOSDATE. They were only linked on the old page because it allowed for the sorting of the page. As for the disappearing dates problem, that sounds more like a software problem than a reason to revert the page. – PeeJay 20:16, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Just a question

[edit]

What are Nominal Fees? – Michael (talk) 16:09, 17 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
