GA Review

[edit]

This review is transcluded from Talk:Lurie Garden/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.

  1. Is it reasonably well written?
    A. Prose quality:
Geography section could be used to give a more detailed location. Also is it possible to have a larger culture section? I don't see much detail except into describing plants in the park.
    Added more location detail to general info.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 00:04, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I added a paragraph. The park is still new so contemporary cultural references are sparse. I am sure Hollywood will have some romantic settings in the garden in the future, but none have occured yet. Historical cultural references are limited to what is there unless you think the section about the seawall should be moved up to culture.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 00:15, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    B. MoS compliance:
  2. Is it factually accurate and verifiable?
    A. References to sources:
    B. Citation of reliable sources where necessary:
    C. No original research:
  3. Is it broad in its coverage?
    A. Major aspects:
    B. Focused:
  4. Is it neutral?
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. Is it stable?
    No edit wars, etc:
  6. Does it contain images to illustrate the topic?
    A. Images are copyright tagged, and non-free images have fair use rationales:
    B. Images are provided where possible and appropriate, with suitable captions:
The boardwalk/canal picture is where I may see a problem. Is it possible that the formatting of the image could change to thumbnails or something? It would help a lot if you did. Helps make the article flow better. Move the Millenium Park pic down a paragraph or 2 wouldn't hurt either.
I am not sure what you want me to do with the boardwalk picture, but I have received a lot of complaints in other articles about smallish pictures. Are you asking me to shrink the pictures.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 00:04, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    Moved Millennium Park image down.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 00:04, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  7. Overall:
    Pass or Fail:

This article has some ways before GA. Good luck!Mitch32contribs 20:30, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Passed. Thanks!Mitch32contribs 19:14, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
