Societal views on patents[edit]

This article Societal views on patents contains a great deal of content that violates WP:OR and WP:SYN. What remains overlaps with content in the Patent article. Article has very old tags as well and has not been worked on substantially for several years. I was bold and performed a merge with the patent article but another user has contested and reverted the merge. Therefore I am taking this slower route.
