A local swim team for a city of about 100,000. Has had some State-wide success, and claiming to have sent 25 swimmers to Olympic trials (just the trials not the actual Olympics). Some degree of swimming-centric and Texas coverage as one would expect, but I don't see the organization to be notable enough to have an article. Although not unimportant enough to be eligible for speedy delete. kelapstick(bainuu) 15:35, 4 May 2018 (UTC)

- Merge, tentatively, or Keep. This topic may be notable enough to Keep on its own, and anyhow it should not be outright deleted because a good wp:ATD is available: merge to a list-article on swim clubs in the U.S. Too many PRODs and AFDs just eliminate material; we should look for alternatives to deletion; merger to list-articles is often a good one. Sometimes that requires just going ahead and creating the list-article, which I'll do right now. List of swim teams in the United States or List of swim clubs in the United States, corresponding to Category:Swim teams in the United States which currently has 10 members:
- I'm not going to put too much effort into the list-article right now, but the overall topic is clearly notable IMHO. Swim clubs in the U.S. are important for developing Olympic athletes, for example, and there will plenty of coverage about that. Similarly I would think that track and field clubs would be important, too, but I am not seeing a corresponding category within Category:Sports teams in the United States by sport. --Doncram (talk) 22:11, 10 May 2018 (UTC)
