  • Redirect and merge to List of thwarted Islamist terrorist attacks. Here's the New Zealand Herald with the AP report [1] describing this as part of Britain's ongoing anti-terrorism security monitoring operations, the individual carrying the knives was on a watch list, and officials believe him to be connected with ISIS supporting groups. They took him off a bus as he approached Whitehall because someone in the security establishment had reason to suspect that this might be an attack, and the London police are on high alet after the 2017 Westminster attack.[2] The family tipped off the police [3].
