The result of the discussion was Speedy keep. Let us not waste more time on this, since the nominator has given no reason and the consensus is already clear. Bduke (Discussion) 07:38, 27 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Procedural nomination done on behalf of User:Immunize. I offer no opinion on retaining or deleting this page. Beeblebrox (talk) 21:50, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

FYI this is actually the fifth nomination, here's the previous debates:

  • Keep (1) Wikipedia:Editors matter. (2) Contains "humor" beyond mere games that serves the important educational role of self-reflection for the community of editors. (3) As a collaborative wikipedia-related activity, it belongs in project space, and such activities are never deleted in favour of archiving. (4) No reason for deletion offered, here, or at the talk page. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 22:04, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Speedy Keep no rationale for deletion offered. Gigs (talk) 00:04, 27 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Speedy keep. No rationale offered for deletion. Even if there was a rationale offered I would !vote to keep, as these light-hearted pages in project space not only do no harm, they indirectly lead to improvements in the encyclopaedia. For example by
    • Aiding interaction between editors - I've seen editors on opposite sides of a heated content dispute interact positively with each others on wikipedia games.
    • Allowing editors to relax, reducing stres and leading to less burnout, fewer personal attacks and fewer toys thrown out of prams
    • Bringing articles to the attention of editors who would not otherwise have known about them, leading to improvements (less than two days ago I added hatnotes linking between [[The King of Rock 'N' Roll], King of Rock and Roll (song) and Honorific nicknames in popular music (where King of Rock and Roll redirects). I did this solely because of a word association game. Many other times I've fixed typos, added references, improved wording, added pictures, fixed vandalism, etc).
    • Some articles are created directly as a result of games, Ceremonial weapon being an example of one I started (not the best, but the only one I can ever remember off the top of my head). Chariots of Fire (disambiguation) also owes its existence to having fun on Wikipedia. Thryduulf (talk) 01:22, 27 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Speedy keep. Ban User:Immunize for being so po-faced --Epipelagic (talk) 05:26, 27 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Speedy keep--no rationale given. While WP:CCC, there is no evidence that it, in fact, has. Jclemens (talk) 05:47, 27 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
