EdmundEzekielMahmudIsa (talk · contribs) - This is my second self-nomination.
I've been here for one year! I'd like to help up here, as I see most admins are from English-speaking countries such as United States. And I'm a Malaysian, wish to be a M'sian admin over here. There should be different kinds of admins in order to make this Wikipedia neutral. I'm already an admin in the Malay Wikipedia, and I wish to be one here too, administrating is fun!
Please note that Malaysian time is UTC + 8 hours, and it's impossible for me to be active all days, as I'm still a student. Admins please don't simply stop this request in one day. I hope you people understand my situation. Thanks for supporting! Edmund the King of the Woods! 00:30, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Questions for the candidate
[edit]Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia as an administrator. You may wish to answer the following optional questions to provide guidance for participants:
- 1. What admin work do you intend to take part in?
- A: Mainly blocking bad usernames! That's really fun, and let other admins just go and block the vandals. If they are good in catching the vandals, it's such a waste of time that they block the bad names. And I can catch bad names in Chinese and Malay! Besides that, I also want to delete pages, restore images, protect & unprotect pages...
- 2. What are your best contributions to Wikipedia, and why?
- A: Haha... I'm not sure, maybe National anthem of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, Yabaniy Es-Sahara, the disambiguation page of Vlatava... And besides that, I wonder whether I've really prevented an edit war in Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic.
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?

- Oppose Per edit summary and count, not enough experience. ~ Wikihermit 00:38, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That's not really nice and very unhelpful.--Boricuæddie 00:53, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]- Thanks for fixing it. --Boricuæddie 00:55, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

- Thanks for fixing it. --Boricuæddie 00:55, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose with apologies. I'm sorry, but 1095 edits, with nearly
4025% or more of those empty summaries, a previous unsuccessful RfA in July under your old name,[1] and the answers to the questions really make me believe that you are not familiar enough with the infrastructure of Wikipedia, nor serious enough, to be entrusted with the tools at this point in time. The first step I'd suggest is that you again go back to the first RfA, and read the suggestions given to you there, as they are very helpful. Additionally, I'd strongly suggest going to your preferences, under "edit" and force a prompt when leaving an edit summary blank. Good luck! Ariel♥Gold 01:02, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply] - Oppose - rather low amount of edit summaries. As per above, turning on the option to prompt you before you enter a blank edit summary is a good choice. Your edit count indicates a lack of experience in the project, as does the answers to the questions. I appreciate your efforts though. Best of luck in the future. - Oppose I'd like to support, you seem like a very enthusiastic and genuine Wikipedian. However, I think it's too soon. If you request to become an admin again, I'd suggest waiting until you have at least 3000 edits. And for the love of God, use edit summaries! Without near 100% usage, you'll never be granted adminship. Also, I was initially a bit worried about this user's answers to the questions, he seemed far too power-hungry and ambitious; after giving it some thought, I'm more inclined to believe that this is simply a language barrier, and not an indicator of over-eagerness. Still, a bit too early. Good luck, I hope to be able to support in the future. faithless (speak) 01:11, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose per ArielGold & Sephiroth comments. Please use those edit summaries. And I echo Faithlessthewonderboy comment re. the answers to the questions is assumingly a language issue. Either way, not enough experience on en.wikipedia. KTC 01:15, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
