This is a collection of discussions on the deletion of articles related to Indonesia. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.

Adding a new AfD discussion

Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:

Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Indonesia|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.

There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.

Removing a closed AfD discussion

Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.

Other types of discussions

You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Indonesia. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.

Keep. The article has sources, and searching for this guy brings up a few more (e.g. 1 2 3). The names pops up in dozens of articles, most of them in Indonesian, and while I don't think that those are all pristine sources, "Obviously fails GNG" would only be a valid complaint if there were no sources at all.

I was referring to the three sources you (or whoever it was who failed to sign their own comment) presented in the actual discussion. The ones with names like "Oneesports", "VCgamers", and "Duniagames". Those are the ones that sound like low-level gaming blogs. Sergecross73 msg me 19:07, 1 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You keep saying this as if that was self-evident. Can you read Indonesian? If so, what makes see these sources - or any others you should have found during WP:BEFORE - unreliable? Delete - I'm not able to see or find the sourcing to support the WP:GNG of a WP:BLP. Everything thing seems to be brief mentions and obscure/unreliable gaming blogs. Keep a sub-district of a sub-district, but seems to pass GNG fairly easily if not GEOLAND: [1] [2] [3] Most of the best sources appear to be in Bahasa. SportingFlyer T·C 17:45, 28 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
At this point, delete. We're working from a decided lack of information here but GMaps shows this as, apparently, a neighborhood in Jakarta. Maybe it represents some level of administration, but it's patently not a village as the word is normally used in English, and the Indonesian term {Kelurahan} doesn't automatically correspond to a notable political/geographical unit. This comes across as part of yet another database dump except that we don't even know what database was used. Yes, we can verify that it's a "thing", but until we can say something about it in its own right, I have to go with deletion. Mangoe (talk) 21:12, 28 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Keep. Enough coverage to satisfy WP:GNG. This event did not receive WP:ROUTINE news coverage, but international news coverage [4] [5] [6], [7] and Time magazine analyzed the event in the context of Myanmar's Muslim-Buddhist conflict [8]. Longhornsg (talk) 03:13, 21 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Comment The coverage was beyond routine in that it was analyzed in the pattern of something else (the Buddhist-Muslim conflict in Burma), however it fails WP:SUSTAINED so I feel like at most this should be merged somewhere.
