Added Hotel del Coronado in "See" (we all know that it's mostly a sight) and Miguel's Cocina in "Eat". --(WT-en) Euphemism 23:14, 11 February 2007 (EST)

Disambig, etc.

Which city is bigger, Coronado, California or Coronado, Panama? I've known about the city in Panama for decades but wasn't aware of the one in California. Ikan Kekek (talk) 19:15, 13 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Clearly Panama. Like you, I've also never heard of the US city named Coronado until now. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 22:26, 13 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
Does anyone want to push back on the idea of making Coronado (Panama) Coronado and making Coronado, California Coronado (California) instead of the default Coronado? Would anyone like to argue for a disambig page with two subpages? Ikan Kekek (talk) 23:15, 13 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
At the very least, Coronado, California, US, should not be the default Coronado. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 23:18, 13 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
Any views on this, PerryPlanet, Wrh2, Pnaha0, Traveler100, Ground Zero, Robvann? Ikan Kekek (talk) 00:32, 19 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
Two of the users who you pinged haven't edited since 2020, FTR. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 10:58, 19 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
I saw that but hoped they might see this, anyway. Ikan Kekek (talk) 11:04, 19 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
I don't think Coronado, California is "so much more famous" than the others that it meets the standards outlined at Wikivoyage:Naming conventions#Disambiguation, but I also don't think Coronado, Panama meets that threshold, so if it was up to me I'd disambiguate both and make Coronado a disambiguation page. -- Ryan • (talk) • 21:03, 20 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
makes sense to me :-) Robvann (talk) 10:41, 19 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
I think we can make the change tomorrow, if no-one objects. Ikan Kekek (talk) 04:19, 20 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
