| Description |
English: The square tapered tower is 20.7 m (67.7 ft) tall and was built in 1875. It is the Island's tallest lighthouse at the tip of West Point where the waters of the Northumberland Strait and Egmont Bay merge.
Light: white Focal Height: 20.1 m (65.75 ft) Flash Pattern: flash 6 sec. Eclipse 6 sec. The West Point Lighthouse Inn, Museum and Restaurant was established in 1984. The lighthouse is maintained as a navigational aid beacon, although the living quarters of the lighthouse are now used as a unique country inn and museum. Cedar Dunes Provincial Park is located at West Point and provides a supervised public beach for swimming. |
