P2561

[edit]

Hello, you are adding name (P2561) to items with references to Vies des peintres, sculpteurs et architectes (Q110548580) but you have no valid rationale for this. These are historical people who have names already in various languages according to the labels of Wikidata. We do not need a P2561 property for them in this way. It doesn't make sense. Hello, thank you for your message. I am participating in a "Cultural Heritage Lexicon" project (Lessico dei Beni culturali) and my lecturers told me to indicate the names of the artworks in this way, for reasons related to the collection of the artworks. Have a nice day. Markraf6969 (talk) 15:32, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
But the items you modified are not artworks, the items refer to historical people. Modify the artworks all you like, but those would involve completely different items, don't you think? Elizium23 (talk) 15:57, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, this university project involves the collection of names mentioned of people and artworks from Vasari's books (the originals and their translations). The 'Names' are those mentioned in Vasari's books and are to be collected and used later for a lexicographical work (a dictionary). As a participant in the project, I follow the instructions given to me by my Professors so that the project will be successful. They told me to indicate the names of the people mentioned in the works as 'names'. Therefore, unless otherwise instructed by my professors, I will have to continue in this manner.
Thank you for your message. Markraf6969 (talk) 16:06, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If we as a community decide that your edits are disruptive, then you will be blocked from editing Wikidata. You need to answer to both this community as well as your professors, if you expect to continue with your account in good standing. Elizium23 (talk) 17:20, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Of course. But in this case, I respected the rules of the Community. So no problem.
Thanks for your message. Markraf6969 (talk) 17:22, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

please stop your mass nonsense editing immediately. Do use an item once. Please watch the difference between claims and references. The dates of the different referenced Vasari editions do not belong to the data sheet, they even do not belong to the reference section, as this infos are already included in the referenced Vasari editions as such. Please repair or revert all of your similar edits with other items Oursana (talk) 02:05, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Oursana, I am not sure I understand your objection, but I certainly agree with it. These edits are disruptive, but have been approved already by consensus, so there is nothing to be done against them. Elizium23 (talk) 02:20, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Elizium23 Many thanks for your comment. Edits must follow the given rules and not mass claims and references. See how it looked. And who has approved what and where?--Oursana (talk) 02:25, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Elizium23 Thank you, but I think here it is different. Perhaps I will discuss.--Oursana (talk) 03:22, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I was correct that I do not understand this dispute. But I think you should know that this editor is one of a group of editors who are apparently taking orders from a third party. They do not seem to understand Wikidata very well, nor do they have an interest in community consensus. Best of luck. Elizium23 (talk) 03:26, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
