P706

[edit]

Hoi, ik heb P706 verwijderd (https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q14855657&action=history), Montfort is een plaats, geen geografische gebied in de zin van gebergte/bos/zee. Michiel1972 (talk) 12:38, 9 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Q 191066 and Cat: 7470156

[edit]

For Link to commons to work, it should be mentionned on main article: (Q191066), not in category: (Q7470156). Thanks --DDupard (talk) 17:45, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello DDupard, That is maybe what you like, but the priority is that a category on Wikipedia is connected with the category on Commons. I must say I do not like the situation because Commons should show both pages and categories, but this is how the situation is. That you change back one page, does not change the policy that categories have priority in the Other sites section. Greetings - Romaine (talk) 20:51, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you User:Romaine for taking the time to explain. Here is something else: "It was decided in this request for comment that categories go with categories and articles only with galleries. Moreover it is also a convention that on Wikidata we link only items together of the same namespace. To do cross-namespace linking, you can use the property Commons category (P373). --Pasleim (talk) 19:39, 29 March 2015 (UTC)" Now that is really helpful to begin to understand. Greetings :)--DDupard (talk) 08:09, 30 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

nl-informal

[edit]

Ik had net alle nl-informal's opgeruimd, zie ik ze jou weer toevoegen. Net zoals de-formal, welke ook automatisch weggehaald wordt door bots. De talen zijn onnodig. Waar heb je die extra talen op gebaseerd? Sjoerd de Bruin (talk) 07:27, 16 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ik heb het nu uit de VIP gehaald. Romaine (talk) 07:30, 16 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sint-Catharinakerk

[edit]

Ik heb weer een foutje gemaakt. Zal het uiteindelijk wel leren. Bedankt! --DirkVE (talk) 08:45, 2 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hallo DirkVE, Geen probleem hoor. :-) Groetjes - Romaine (talk) 20:49, 7 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

[1] is another place where the wrong value was saved. I'm not sure what you were trying to link to though, so I can't fix it myself. - Nikki (talk) 13:09, 29 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Nikki, That is the result of bug phab:T98471. Thank you for reporting, I fixed it now. Greetings - Romaine (talk) 13:40, 29 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

"Μπιφτέκι" (Q200527)

[edit]

Hi! Can you give a simple short explanation for your revert of Μπιφτέκι to the special kind of Μπιφτέκι named Salisbury steak? Thanks --Xoristzatziki (talk) 05:12, 7 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! First of all, to me it seems the same. But I have no problem if it will be split up, as long as there is a second item created. If you think a certain item is a mix of two subjects, just removing the wrong items is not a solution. For example the English sitelink should after the split still be connected to the Spanish, Polish, Dutch and French article. Greetings - Romaine (talk) 13:20, 7 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, again, it is not mix of two subjects. For me is like linking αυτοκίνητο (car) to "station wagon" just because the station wagon is common in Spanish, Polish, Dutch and French (if there was no equivalent for αυτοκίνητο). It just misleads anyone, even native speakers of one language which will try to extend the article (in any language) based on the assumption that link is correct. Meatball is a same example. In Greek the shape of English meatball is the same with κεφτές but there is a great difference. Kofta and Keftes (Sephardic) are not the same. Of course in Greece anyone can create and say it created κεφτέδες with any ingredients but it must specify it in the name (ντοματοκεφτές, κεφτές λαχανικών etc.). Just saying "κεφτές" you refer to a special kind of meatball which for example always has Laurus nobilis as a must-have ingredient. Unless, in wikidata, the link to other data can be a somehow loose link and we can link years like 1815 to any year "like it" (lets say to 1810) just because there is no article in a specific wikipedia about 1815 (but there is an article in that wikipedia for year 1810). --Xoristzatziki (talk) 05:15, 8 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
