Custom barbie

Doll collectors know better than anyone: finding a model of characters or famous people that are authentic and realistic is very complicated. But for the Mexican artist Gil Plazola, the subject is on another level! Gil uses prefabricated dolls in their primary form, without anything special, until they are transformed into iconic actors and singers. "Since my childhood I like barbies, and the inspiration for making my doll repaints is Hollywood actresses," said the artist to Bored Panda.

Jolie is a fully repainted doll with restyled hair. I use the whole doll as my canvas; therefore, Jolie is artistically anatomically correct.
