About

The Travel & Participation Support program funds Wikimedia community members - volunteers contributing to Wikimedia projects such as Wikipedia or Commons - to travel to and participate in primarily non-Wikimedia events.

Are you traveling to represent Wikimedia at an event? Do you have plans to actively participate (present a talk? organize a workshop?) at a conference or other gathering near you? Travel & Participation Support can help you get there!

We support volunteer participation in mission-aligned events and activities by helping to cover your travel, accommodation and incidental expenses. We can even send you Wikimedia swag to distribute at the event!
