No early email

[edit]

Just a note, that I'm not going to send the early-translation email reminder, as there are still so many entries still being finalized, and I know sometimes translators don't check back in after the first email. Thanks. Quiddity (WMF) (talk) 01:32, 12 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

New version

[edit]

Hi. I was one was of those who said that there is no need to tell about the new version every week. I think the most will say that. And I think if there will be words "Pay attention:" or an exclamation sign icon before the sentence "There will be no deployment this week", every couple of months, nobody will care about the removing of the every week message. In that case, maybe people could be told the reason for "There will be no deployment this week", too. Some people in, e.g., Europe might not be aware there are holidays in US. --Matěj Suchánek (talk) 12:05, 14 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Gerrit/GitLab entry

[edit]

@Quiddity (WMF): I fear the Gerrit/GitLab entry is too technical. Terms like “code repository”, “deploy” or “code review” may not be understandable for non-techy people. However, I don’t know how to fix it. Hopefully translators did a good job, so the wording can be updated last-minute, without invalidating translations. —Tacsipacsi (talk) 14:20, 14 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

I remembered this just after I hit send. Ah well, so it goes. They can't all be great! Thanks anyway for the nudge. Quiddity (WMF) (talk) 01:29, 16 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
