Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):
- Expand your desktop browser window to more than 1000px wide
- Go to https://dv.wikipedia.org/ (or https://dv.wikipedia.org/?uselang=en for English "Search", or https://dv.wikipedia.org/?uselang=dv to force Divehi right-to-left UI.)
What happens?:
On the initial page load, the [Search] button in the search bar is not at the end of the search bar, but instead is about 40% of the way from the end. The screenshot below uses the English UI in the top half, and Divehi (which is written right-to-left like Arabic) in the bottom half. Both have the same problem, though the text direction is reversed.
What should have happened instead?:
The "Search" button should be at the end of the search bar.
Other information (browser name/version, screenshots, etc.):
- Interacting with the search box makes the button go the the expected place.
- It looks the same in Chrome, Firefox, and Safari under MacOS 13.6.3. Screenshot is from Chrome.
- Divehi Wiktionary (https://dv.wiktionary.org/) and Wikipedias in other RTL languages (Arabic (ar, ary, arz), Hebrew (he), Aramaic (arc)) don't seem to have the problem.
