Valeriy Pidluzhnyy

Valeriy Vasylyovych Pidluzhnyy (Ukrainian: Підлужний Валерій Васильович; 22 August 1952 – 4 October 2021) was a Ukrainian long jumper. He represented the Soviet Union. He was born in Donetsk, Ukrainian SSR.[1] He won two silver medals at the European Athletics Indoor Championships as well as a gold medal at the 1974 European Athletics Championships and a bronze medal at the 1980 Summer Olympics.[2][3][4]

Pidluzhnyy died on 4 October 2021 in Kyiv, Ukraine at the age of 69.[5]
